SECURE COMMUNICATION PLATFORM FOR SOCIAL SERVICE SECTOR
iS3Talk is a pioneering new communication framework developed for the social services sector to connect and collaborate its various stakeholders securely and seamlessly. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force on 25 May 2018 and replaces the current Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA). With the regulation in place, social care providers need to document their data processing activities.
Why do you need to act?
Under the DPA, organisations were thought to be compliant until there was a data breach. Under the GDPR, this is no longer the case, you need to have evidence that you are compliant from the start. This means that you need to have documents and processes in place to demonstrate you are following the regulations and ensuring the safeguarding of the data that you hold.
The Eileen Munro report sets out proposals for social work reform enabling professionals to make well-informed decisions about how to help children and young people.
